Perm Classical School No2 organized a festive annual event dedicated to Chinese culture and language which was joined  online by representatives of Education Department of Jiangxi province and foreign language school of Jiujiang (China).

The Day of Chinese culture and language is traditionally marked on the day which is believed to be the birthday of Confuсius, Chinese philosopher.  For Classical School No 2 there is another reason for celebrations – 7 years since opening a special Confucius class, which has become the best in Russia.

The festivities featured a teleconference with the representatives of Education Department from Jiangxi Province and foreign language school of Jiujiang (China).

–  We are pleased to be part of festivities dedicated to the Day of Chinese Culture and language. As we say in China, there is no distance for friendship – you can be close to each other even thousands kilometers from each other.- says Li Yuqiang, deputy head of International Affairs Department of Jiangxi Province.

The Confucuis celebrations programmes included the ceremony of handing out HSK international certificates in Chinese language  to 17 students of School No2.

– The participants are the school students who have been studying Chinese for six years now and passed the international certificate exam, says  Lyudmila Sukhanova, School No2 Director, addressing their Chinese partners in teleconference.

During the teleconference the Perm students learned more about their counterparts in Jiujiang, the children talking to each other in Chinese.

The meeting ended in a concert  featuring the students of  both cities followed by signing an agreement on cooperation between the Perm and Chines schools.

To note, Classical School No 2 has long been involved into links with a number of Chinese schools and universities. Best of its graduate students can join special programmes at Chinese Oil University to continue education. This year 4 of the school graduates were enrolled on  the state-funded programme at  National Oil University in Qingdao due to their successful  performance in  international exam in Chinese.
